The NSW Government has responded to the Bondi massacre by seeking to introduce restrictions on the right to public assembly.
These restrictions will allow the government to designate a specific area within which protests and public gatherings will not be allowed. This imposes a considerable restriction on Free Speech.
The FSU refutes any links between the Bondi Massacre and this policy approach, and opposes the reforms as taking advantage of the tragedy to advance existing desires. We must not allow terrorists to win by limiting or reducing our freedoms!
